What is Gjoa?
The Gjoa soccer club has been around for over 95 years. It is based in Brooklyn New York. Gjoa has provided youth players with a great environment for them to flourish and play great soccer. Teams play in the cosmopolitan youth soccer league and many teams have gained recognition in national tournaments such as the Schwann's USA CUP in Minnesota, and the Dallas Cup. Players have also represented Gjoa on the international level, playing in tournaments throughout Sweden and Norway.
Many players have gone on to excel academically and athletically, playing in some of the country's top colleges and universities.

THE GJOA/SABA CONNECTION
Jim Svensen, the president of the Gjoa Soccer Club coached Harry Triana for many years as a youth player. With Jim's guidance, Harry Triana was able to achieve much success as a youth player, developing into an Olympic Development, College, and professional player.
Over the years, Harry has established a solid reputation as a dedicated coach and trainer, seeking to provide the best quality of coaching available to players of all ages. This dedication and proven player achievements, has enabled Harry to establish a consistent foundation for player development and success. SABA (Soccer At Its Best Academy) now provides year round training, coaching, and camps to over 500 players in New York and New Jersey.

Jim and Harry have teamed up to provide the best quality of coaching available and reestablish Gjoa's strong tradition and presence in the New York Soccer community.

BE A PART OF THIS STRONG TRADITION.
